By the growth of networks, the physical distances between networked systems grows whereby a remote access, for the purpose of administration, is becoming increasingly important. Here, the safety aspect plays an important role.

Audience

This course is for employees from measurement-, system engineering/planning and broadcasting technology.

Prerequisites

Participants should have prior knowledge of the basics of networks and theirfunctionality.

Objectives

By the growth of networks the physical distances between networked systems grows whereby a remote access, for the purpose of administration, is becoming increasingly important. Here, the safety aspect plays an important role.In this course, participants will learn different ways and technologies of remote access for the purpose of administration or data transmission to know and use. You have an overview of security risks and how to avoid them. You are familiar with terms such as VPN and firewall and know areas of application and basic configuration. In this practical workshop, the technologies described are set up and configured by the participants.

Methods

Besides theoretical subjects practical exercises are in the foreground.
