SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is the standard protocol and base of network management and monitoring in business communication networks. Telephony systems are integrated in these networks and support the functionality of SNMP. Therefore technicians installing, maintaining, supporting and troubleshooting telephony systems need appropriate knowledge regarding SNMP.
