TOP LOC 1582 Linux Advanced System Administration

The course Linux Advanced System Administration was developed to give Telephony Technicians and Technical Support Engineers comprehensive knowledge about the vast functionalities of Linux (the operating system used by telephony systems) and how these can be used to extend and improve the functionality of a PBX.

The course provides in-depth knowledge on a number of Linux features that are relevant to telephony systems.

With the knowledge of this course the Engineers are able to configure the telephony system that important messages are sent by email.

Furthermore they learn how a specific log message (i. e. a special alarm) can start a script (which i. e. fixes the cause of the alarm and clears the alarm).

The knowledge about scripting enables the engineers to write Scripts to ease configuration and maintenance of the telephony system a lot (with a script hundreds of extensions can be created in a few seconds).

Jobs that has to be done on a regular basis can be combined in scripts (and the scripts can be scheduled or started through an event) to automate these recurring jobs.
